Hello, I’m Harshitha 👋

I am an undergraduate student at IIT Delhi pursuing a B.Tech in Engineering Physics. I am interested in exploring the fundamental laws of nature and the mathematical models used to describe them. I enjoy applying these insights across different fields to solve problems in creative ways.

Join me in my journey in exploring the complex forces of the universe (are they really complex, or did we make them that way?). Let us turn them into simple, easy-to-understand truths. No advanced knowledge required — just curiosity. Welcome!

Why “The Future Cone”?

The future cone (the future light cone) is part of the Minkowski Spacetime concept (developed by Hermann Minkowski) which treats space-time as a single four dimensional fabric. This visual map represents all the possible moments, events, and places in the universe that one can possibly reach or influence looking from the current position. The speed of light determines the boundary, implying that all the events outside the boundary can neither influence us nor can we influence them.

I named my site The Future Cone as I am interested in exploring the underlying logic and laws that determine possible future states. At the same time, I am interested in understanding the very existence of the boundaries that limit the possibilities. This website captures my thoughts, notes, and ideas on these topics.
